Harry Redknapp says that watching Spurs beat Aston Villa was "the best medicine".

Harry Redknapp has revealed that seeing Tottenham beat Aston Villa to go third in the Premier League last night was "the best medicine".

The 64-year-old was in the dugout for the first time since his minor heart surgery three weeks ago.

Two goals from Emmanuel Adebayor sealed a comfortable win for Spurs which means they leapfrog both Chelsea and Newcastle to sit behind Manchester United and leaders Manchester City.

"I couldn't feel better. I feel great but then I've felt great for the last ten days," Redknapp said.

"I was looking forward to getting back and felt good throughout the game. I enjoy watching us play football, it's the best medicine for me and some of the stuff we play is top drawer."

"I don't want to say we are going to win the league but it is not impossible for us, Liverpool or anyone else. If you believe in yourself and keep winning you are going to do it. United won it last year because everyone else fell over themselves.

"It's not impossible, but making the top four will be difficult enough because it's going to be very competitive."

Tottenham still have a game in hand after their league opener against Everton was postponed due to the London riots.
