Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood criticises his midfielder Sandro, claiming that the Brazilian is 'not good enough' to warrant a first-team berth.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has criticised his midfielder Sandro, claiming that the Brazilian is 'not good enough' to warrant a first-team berth.

Speaking after today's early Premier League kickoff, which saw the North London outfit beat Fulham 3-1, Sherwood responded to a tweet sent by Sandro prior to the game confessing that the Brazilian wasn't injured.

"What he's stating is correct, he's not selected at the moment," Sherwood told BT Sport.

"I don't think he's good enough to be in the side at the minute, when he shows me he's up to the level of the other players he'll be back in the squad.

"I like Sandro as a player but he has to work hard to be back in the side."

The Brazilian posted a tweet shortly after Sherwood's comments were made public, where he appears to laugh off the 45-year-old's opinions.
