The Football Association has fined Premier League sides Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur £20,000 each after a second-half melee earlier this month.
The fine relates to a 66th-minute incident at Villa Park which ended with Christian Benteke being shown a straight red card by referee Neil Swarbrick.
An FA statement read: "The charge was that the clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion."
Both clubs have accepted the penalty.
