Ronald Koeman confident of Morgan Schneiderlin stay

Ronald Koeman says that he is 99% sure that Morgan Schneiderlin will be staying at Southampton this summer as time winds down on the transfer window.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has said that he is confident that Morgan Schneiderlin will still be at the club when the transfer window closes.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the Saints all summer, with former manager Mauricio Pochettino believed to be keen to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur, but scored twice for the club during today's 3-1 win against West Ham United.

"It's difficult in life to say 100% [if he will stay]. For me, yes, but more like 99%," Koeman told reporters.

"He never said he would go on strike. He's in a comfortable situation now. He's accepted club's decision [not to sell him]."

Schneiderlin has spent the past six years at Southampton, after joining the club from Strasbourg in June 2008.
