Swansea City boss Garry Monk: 'Kyle Naughton deal is imminent'

Garry Monk confirms that Kyle Naughton's £5m move to the Liberty Stadium from Tottenham Hotspur is close to completion.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has confirmed that the deal to sign Kyle Naughton from Tottenham Hotspur is all but done.

The 26-year-old has been training with his new teammates and a transfer reportedly worth £5m is close to completion.

"He's here," Monk told reporters in today's press conference. "It's the last bits of the contract to sort out, the legal side. He trained with us this morning and it's good to get it done.

"He brings a good pedigree, is experienced at this level, a good age, we look for players looking to prove a point and who are hungry. He enjoyed his time at Tottenham but perhaps didn't get the game time he wanted. Now he'll be looking to push on."

The full-back has spent almost six years at White Hart Lane, but has struggled to maintain a regular first-team spot.
