Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of left-back Ryan Sessegnon on loan to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim for the season.
The 20-year-old joined the North London side from Fulham last summer but was restricted to just six Premier League appearances in the elongated 2019-20 campaign and is currently behind Ben Davies and new signing Sergio Reguilon in the pecking order.
Reports in recent days had linked Sessegnon, who can also play further forward as an attacker or winger, with a loan exit and now he has joined Europa League participants Hoffenheim for the remainder of the campaign.

"I hope that the loan will give me match practice in one of the best professional leagues in the world and I'm looking forward to the games in the Europa League too."
Sessegnon had also been linked with Celtic, Hertha Berlin and Brighton & Hove Albion.
