Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson from German club Hoffenheim.
The Icelandic international is believed to have been courted by a number of clubs following a successful six-month loan spell with Swansea City last season.
However, Spurs have confirmed with a short statement on their official website that they have won the race for the 22-year-old's signature.
Liverpool were also believed to be extremely interested in signing the attacking midfielder, who scored seven goals from 19 outings for the Swans last season.
