Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence.
The 21-year-old has spent the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, making a huge impression at the City Ground with the East Midlands giants currently preparing for the Championship playoff final.
However, regardless of the outcome of the showdown with Huddersfield Town, Spence will return to his parent club ahead of an expected summer exit to a Premier League side.
According to Football Insider, Spurs have already held preliminary discussions regarding a deal for a player who would compete for a spot at right wing-back.
The report claims that Boro will be happy to do business at £10m with Spence having just a year remaining on his contract at the Riverside Stadium.
Spence has made a total of 41 Championship appearances for Forest this campaign, contributing two goals and four assists.
