Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale as a potential loan signing.
Bale left the North London outfit for Madrid in 2013, and the Wales international has gone on to score a total of 101 goals from 219 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 29-year-old's future at the Bernabeu is uncertain due to the return of former head coach Zinedine Zidane, as well as criticism from teammates and supporters.
According to AS, Spurs are ready to launch an approach to sign Bale on a temporary basis and would only be prepared to cover part of the attacker's wages.
Real are unlikely to entertain such a bid, but it has been suggested that Zidane may make significant changes to his first-team squad in the summer.
