Zinedine Zidane is reportedly acting as an advisor in Real Madrid's move to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane is reportedly acting as an advisor in luring Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu.

The Spanish giants are thought to be long-term admirers of the Wales international, who is said to have been offered a fresh big-money contract at White Hart Lane.

It is understood that Zidane, who previously praised the prolific star, is trying to convince Real president Florentino Perez that signing Bale should be the club's number one priority, according to Marca.

Previous reports have claimed that the former La Liga champions will not offer more than £43m for Bale.
