Stoke City have reportedly decided to keep Mark Hughes in charge for the FA Cup fixture with Coventry City at the weekend.
The 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on New Year's Day was Stoke's fifth in the space of seven Premier League games, and the club now sit in 18th place in the standings.
The Potters hierarchy are allegedly considering Hughes's future at the bet365 Stadium but according to Sky Sports News, the Welshman will remain in the dugout for the trip to the League Two side.
Failing to beat the Sky Blues would push Hughes closer to the exit door, but victory may be enough to buy the 54-year-old some time ahead of the trip to Manchester United on January 15.
Hughes has won 71 and lost 80 of his 199 matches in charge of Stoke.
