Danny Higginbotham has claimed that he is finished at Stoke City after joining Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old hasn't played in the league for Stoke since November following a long-term knee injury.
"I'm a realistic person. I've not been involved in the league since November, not even on the bench," Higginbotham said.
"At the age I am, and after a long-term injury, I've done enough watching from the sidelines."
The defender will now switch to helping Championship strugglers Forest stave off relegation.
