Swansea City are reportedly hoping to sign Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback on a free transfer this summer.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at the Stadium of Light, and the Black Cats are believed to be reluctant to offer him the improved deal which he has demanded.
Newly-appointed Swans boss Garry Monk is keen to recruit British talent in the upcoming window to help restore balance to a Liberty Stadium squad which saw a lot of Spaniards arrive under Michael Laudrup.
According to The Mirror, Swansea are prepared to meet the versatile Colback's £1m-a-year salary requirement, and the Sunderland academy graduate is keen to make the move to Wales.
Colback, who made 42 appearances for the Wearside outfit in all competitions this season, was a low earner at the club after coming through the youth system and has been unable to agree better terms.
