Brendan Rodgers staying with Swansea City

Brendan Rodgers says that he will not be leaving Swansea to take the manager's job at Chelsea.

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed talk of him leaving the club to take over at Chelsea.

Rodgers, who worked in the youth setup at Stamford Bridge between 2006 and 2008, has been tipped to return to the Blues as successor to sacked boss Andre Villas-Boas.

Although the Swans manager acknowledges that Chelsea has 'everything', he intends to repay the loyalty placed in him by his current employers.

"I wouldn't be sat here today if it wasn't for Chelsea, so I'll always be respectful," Rodgers told Goals on Sunday.

"I'm now at a club where I have peace and satisfaction in my football and personal life, so I'm certainly not running out of the door.

"For this moment in my life and my professional life I couldn't think of anywhere to be other than where I am at the moment."

A recent poll conducted by Barclay's showed that 47% of his peers believe Rodgers is the most impressive Premier League manager.
