Tranmere Rovers have taken Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill out on a one-month emergency loan.
The 22-year-old has made just six appearances for Preston this term after joining the club from Port Vale in 2013.
"I'm delighted to be able to bring Jordan to the club," Rovers boss Micky Adams told the Tranmere website.
"He's a big, strong lad who will never gives up. He's a goalscorer and, with Cole Stockton unavailable, is someone who will add to our attacking options.
"I'd like to thank Preston North End for letting Jordan join us for a month."
Tranmere take on Cheltenham Town away in League Two this weekend.
