Former England international Owen Hargreaves has revealed that he would be open to a move to the MLS.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since the end of last season, having been released by Manchester City.
The Canadian-born midfielder is keen to spend more time closer to his family in Calgary and admits that he could play in the USA.
When asked about playing in the MLS, Hargreaves told BBC Sport: "Yes. They want me to go and play over there.
"It is a big move, you have to decide do you want to make the move, a big change. There are so many things I could do there and it would be nice to spend time in Canada.
"I am fit but having focused so much on football since I was 15, I am just taking a step back. I was blessed, I had such a wonderful start to my career but at the age of 27 it all kind of went in a different direction."
Hargreaves has 42 England caps.
