A leading sports lawyer has claimed that West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino could sue teammate James Morrison for personal injury.
The pair were involved in a dressing-room fight after Saturday's 3-3 draw with Cardiff City.
Berahino has since rubbished claims of a lawsuit against the Scottish midfielder, but Ashley Wootton, who is a sports lawyer for leading firm Thomas Eggar LLP, believes that the England Under-21 forward may have a case.
The Mirror quotes him as saying: "James Morrison could potentially be disciplined by the club for misconduct if he admits or is found to have hit Berahino. Berahino could raise a grievance against Morrison for his unreasonable and dangerous behaviour.
"Depending on the severity of the injury, Berahino may have a claim for personal injury against both Morrison and the club.
"Striking a person in any capacity is potentially a criminal act and it is not known if Berahino is considering reporting the incident to the police."
The Baggies are currently 17th in the Premier League.
