West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine is reportedly looking into the possibility of bringing Porto winger Silvestre Varela to the club on a season-long loan.
Following his side's 0-0 draw with Southampton yesterday, Irvine said that he wanted to bring in 'a couple of creative players' to bolster his side's attacking threat.
The Express and Star reports that Varela has caught the attention of Irvine and the Baggies want to bring the winger to the club on a temporary basis.
The move may well be aided by the fact that Porto wrapped up a deal to bring Vincent Aboubakar to the club this morning, which could see Varela's opportunities restricted at the Portuguese club.
Varela has scored 30 goals for Porto in 115 appearances since joining the club in 2009.
