Andy Carroll: Chelsea win "one of the best"

Andy Carroll calls West Ham United's 2-1 win over Chelsea "one of the best" after he headed the winning goal against the champions 11 minutes from time.

West Ham United matchwinner Andy Carroll has said that Saturday's 2-1 victory over Chelsea is one of the best wins the club have had in recent times.

Carroll headed home 11 minutes from time to secure victory for Slaven Bilic's side at Upton Park against the 10-man champions to move the hosts into second in the Premier League table.

That win adds to triumphs over Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal already this season for the Hammers, and Carroll insisted that the victory over their local rivals was as good a three points as the club have earned.

"It was a tough game but we knew that anyway," he told reporters. "We have had some great wins but that has got to be one of the best.

"It was a great strike by Mauro Zarate for the opener. We went for the win and kept on pushing and got it. It was a great ball in for my goal and I read where it would be. I have been waiting for one of them for a while."

West Ham have now won six of their 10 league matches this season and stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches.
