West Ham United have reportedly lodged a £12m offer for Norwich City star James Maddison.
Hammers boss David Moyes tabled a formal bid for the 21-year-old midfielder after scouting him during the Canaries' recent penalty shootout defeat to Chelsea in the EFL Cup, according to The Guardian.
Norwich, however, are said to be holding out for a bigger transfer fee for Maddison, who has been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs.
Previous reports suggest Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the youngster, but are yet to submit rival bids.
Maddison, a product of the Coventry City youth system, impressed while on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen last season, scoring twice in 14 appearances for the Dons.
