Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has reportedly revealed that Fulham striker Andy Johnson turned down the chance to join the Latics, with Hugo Rodallega making the switch to Craven Cottage.
The 30-year-old had been the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from Craven Cottage with Queens Park Rangers showing an early interest in the player.
Whelan has stated that Rodallega, who is a reported target for Tottenham Hotspur, was due to move to Fulham while Johnson would join Roberto Martinez's side in a swap deal, according to Sky Sports News.
Since Johnson's rejection of the proposal, the future of Rodallega has been thrown into doubt, as Whelan has stated that he will wait until the last minute for Spurs to make a swoop for the player.
Wigan and Tottenham go head to head in the Premier League tonight.
