Wolverhampton Wanderers have asked for patience as they continue their search for a new manager.
The club are believed to have offered the vacancy to Alan Curbishley last week, only for the former West Ham United boss to turn the role down.
Despite Curbishley's rejection, chief executive Jez Moxey recently insisted that the hunt for a new man was "going well".
Steve Bruce and Roy Keane have been linked with the hotseat this morning, but the club are refusing to comment on speculation.
"Manager search continues," the club tweeted. "Appreciate any frustrations about speculation etc and it's 24-7 news media age.
"But [the] board need to carry out the process diligently/in confidence. Jez updates when he can but can't provide running commentary on names."
Former Sunderland manager Bruce is the favourite to land the position with a number of bookmakers.
