Nuno Espirito Santo hints that Danny Batth could leave Wolverhampton Wanderers

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo hints that club captain Danny Batth could leave Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan before the end of August.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has suggested that Danny Batth may leave Wolverhampton Wanderers before the end of August.

Batth had been expected to start the EFL Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, but the club captain was a notable absentee from the team which won 2-0 at Hillsborough.

The 27-year-old has also not played a single minute in the Premier League, and Nuno has acknowledged that an exit in the coming days is a possibility.

The Portuguese is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "That's a decision. Danny is the captain of the club. I already spoke with him. He didn't come today.

"Options, we have to make decisions. Sometimes they are not so happy to take, but we have to make decisions."

Batth came through the academy setup at Molineux and has gone on to make 204 appearances for the West Midlands outfit.
