Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenciali reveals that Felipe Massa's second place finish at the Japanese Grand Prix came at just the right time.

Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenciali has insisted that a decision has not been made over the future of driver Felipe Massa.

The Brazilian recorded his first podium in two years when he finished second in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, but Domenciali refused to be drawn on the 31-year-old's future at Ferrari.

Domenciali said: "It was great to see him back on the podium after a long time.

"This second place is a very important result for him and for the team and it comes at one of the most difficult and delicate moments of the season.

"Decisions regarding his future? One step at a time, as now we are enjoying this lovely podium together."

Massa is currently ninth in the Formula 1 drivers' standings.
