Romain Grosjean insists that he can get more speed from his Lotus Renault ahead of qualifying in Malaysia.

Lotus Renault's Romain Grosjean has admitted that he is pleased with his performance in the first two practice sessions in Sepang but is confident that there is more pace to be found.

Grosjean's teammate Kimi Raikkonen is the early pace-setter on his improved configuration Lotus, but Grosjean said that with some tweaks he too can be competitive.

"Overall it was not too bad," he told Lotus's official website. "We made some progress between the sessions and the car looks to be on the pace again despite the circuit and weather conditions being very different to the last race.

"Having said that, I'm still not 100% happy with my feeling in the car and there's definitely more speed to be found.

"We're currently looking at some different setup options for tomorrow so that I can really extract the maximum from it. Clearly, the aim is to make some more improvements before we head into qualifying."

Grosjean's teammate Raikkonen currently leads the standings after winning in Melbourne.
