Mark Webber has hit out at the Formula 1 fans who booed Sebastian Vettel on the podium following another victory for the German at Monza today.
Vettel led from start to finish as Webber made his first podium at the Italian Grand Prix, with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso sandwiched between the two Red Bulls.
Alonso was greeted with a huge cheer in front of the throngs of Ferrari fans before Vettel strode out to a frosty reception.
"I'm very happy to get a podium at Monza, one of the most famous ones in the world, up there with Monte Carlo and a few other signature events. Brilliant to experience that," The AP quotes Webber as saying.
"Sebastian won the race and the atmosphere was not completely correct. But, anyway, it's their choice."
Vettel's victory extended his lead in the drivers' championship to 55 points.
