Justin Rose has admitted that he is looking forward to testing himself at the British Open later this week.
The 32-year-old, who won the first Major of his career earlier this year at the US Open, takes to Muirfield looking to pick up the claret jug.
Rose, who finished fourth at the tournament as an amateur in 1998 at the age of 17, is also relishing the prospect to be introduced as the reigning US Open champion.
"That's going to be a fabulous feeling," Rose told the Daily Mail.
"What I took out of Merion most of all was that I relished the opportunity. Now I'm ready to keep putting myself in that position.
"I know I will win some and lose some but I want to keep relishing these opportunities to test myself at the very high end of the game."
The British Open gets underway on Thursday.
