Tiger Woods drops out of world's top 100 golfers for first time since 1996

Fourteen-time major champion Tiger Woods drops out of the world's top 100 golfers for the first time since 1996.

For the first time since 1996, Tiger Woods has fallen out of the top 100 golfers in the world rankings.

The 39-year-old, who has struggled with back problems in the last few years, is ranked 104th in the official standings.

The 14-time major champion has not played since pulling out of the Farmers Insurance Open in early February due to his fitness issues.

Woods decided to take a break from the sport last month and has not set a date on his return.

The American golfer has spent a record 683 weeks as world number one during his career.
