Asia, Europe share inaugural EurAsia Cup

A dramatic fightback from Asia ensures that the inaugural EurAsia Cup is shared following a 10-10 draw with Europe in Kuala Lumpur.

A dramatic fightback from Asia in Kuala Lumpur ensured that the inaugural EurAsia Cup was shared on Saturday.

Team Europe, who had led the contest 5-0 following Thursday's fourballs, began the final day 7-3 ahead, meaning that they required just three-and-a-half points from 10 singles matches to win.

However, Asia captain Thongchai Jaidee continued his side's comeback by beating Graeme McDowell.

Asia then recorded a further five wins to leave the scores level going into the final match, which saw Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Japan's Hideto Tanihara play out a nerve-wracking tie.
