Jordan Spieth carded a one-under-par 69 to win the Tour Championship by a four-stroke margin in Atlanta tonight.
The two-time Major winner enjoyed a solid if unspectacular final round encompassing four birdies and three bogeys to finish on nine-under for the tournament at East Lake.
As a result, Spieth also leapfrogged Jason Day and Rory McIlroy to become the new world number one.
Sweden's Henrik Stenson, who led for the first two rounds, was one shot behind coming into Sunday's finale, but a second successive 72 scuppered his hopes of a first PGA Tour title in 2015.
He finished on five-under, level with Englishman Justin Rose and New Zealand's Danny Lee, who propelled himself into contention with a final-round 65, but it was not enough.
World number three McIlroy shot a four-over-par 74 to finish on one-over, while Day finished on two-under.
