Jordan Spieth has claimed his 10th PGA title with a dramatic win at the Travelers Championship.
Spieth had headed the field throughout the tournament in Connecticut, but a poor back nine let in Daniel Berger, who made birdie at three of his six final holes to force a playoff.
After both failed to make the green, it appeared that the pair would go to a second extra hole but with his third shot, Spieth holed out from the bunker to stun his American compatriot, who failed to hole from over 50 feet.
Charley Hoffman and Danny Lee secured a share of third, while Patrick Reed, Boo Weekley and England's Paul Casey finished in a tie for fifth.
Earlier in the day, Rory McIlroy put together a round of 64 to move a remarkable 43 places up the leaderboard in order to finish inside the top 20.
McIlroy finished level with Padraig Harrington as the two-time Major winner put together his best performance on the PGA Tour for almost a year.
