Denmark's Lucas Bjerregaard has moved to the top of the leaderboard at the BMW Masters following a second-round 66, while previous leader Sergio Garcia has dropped three shots off the pace in Shanghai.
Bjerregaard is 12-under-par for the tournament after scoring seven birdies and a solitary bogey on the 17th hole, while Thongchai Jaidee and Garcia are tied second on nine-under-par.
Garcia's momentum came to a halt when he carded a bogey and then a double bogey on the following hole to end the day with a one-under 71.
Ian Poulter is now just four shots off the lead after he recovered from scoring three bogeys to make four consecutive birdies at the Lake Malaren Golf Club.
