Sergio Garcia has taken a one-shot lead at the BMW Masters following a first-round 64 at the Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai.
The Spaniard got off to a flying start by scoring five birdies through seven holes, before adding another four, three of which came consecutively on holes 12, 13 and 14.
The only blemish on Garcia's round was a bogey on the 17th, which means that South Korea's An Byeong Hun and Frenchman Victor Dubuisson sit just one shot off the pace after carding seven-under-par 65s.
Former US Open champion Justin Rose currently sits tied sixth with a five-under round after recovering from a second-hole bogey to hit six birdies.
Englishmen Ian Poulter and Matthew Fitzpatrick are both four-under-par.
