USA's Lyndsey Fry pleased with display against Canada

Lyndsey Fry says that she is happy with how Team USA played against their Canadian counterparts in the women's ice hockey final in Sochi.

USA forward Lyndsey Fry has hailed her side's performance against Canada in the final of the women's ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Canadians came from 2-0 down to win the final 3-2 in overtime at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi on Thursday.

"I'm crying more because I look around at my teammates and I know how hard we worked every step of this journey," Canada.com quotes Fry as saying.

"I think that's the most heart-felt we've ever played and we played for each other. We really love each other."

The victory saw Canada win their fourth straight Olympic gold medal in women's ice hockey.
