Russia's Kamal Khan-Magomedov has secured the gold medal in the men's -66kg judo event at the European Games, making a quick start to his contest against Loic Korval.
The Frenchman found himself trailing inside the opening 30 seconds as Khan-Magomedov pinned him for a waza-ari.
Korval got himself on the scoreboard with a yuko less than a minute later, but was unable to reduce the deficit further, leaving him to settle for the silver.
Russia's Mikhail Pulyaev and Sebastian Seidl of Germany will also be on the podium after winning the bronze-medal contests.
