Wales secure bronze in men's triples with win over Australia

Wales secure a 16-4 win over Australia to claim Commonwealth bronze in the men's triples.

Wales have collected bronze in the men's triples thanks to a 16-14 victory over Australia at Kelvingrove.

There were a number of lead changes early in the contest, with Wales managing to edge 4-2 ahead before seeing their advantage turn into a 7-6 deficit as Australia fought back impressively.

However, neither side seemed able of securing a bigger lead for long spells as Wales then enjoyed the better of a couple of tight exchanges to earn a 12-11 advantage after 14 ends.

Wales never looked back after moving ahead once again, with the team of Paul Taylor, Marc Wyatt and Jonathan Tomlinson holding their nerve late on to secure a medal.
