Argentina football legend Diego Maradona recently came face to face with the referee who allowed his infamous 1986 'hand of God' goal that ended England's World Cup dream.
The 54-year-old met Ali Bennaceur in Tunis this week and handed over an Argentina shirt with the message, 'for Ali, my eternal friend'.
The former match official, who allowed the quarter-final goal to stand despite Maradona knocking the ball into the net with his hand, gifted the retired footballer with a framed photo of himself, the Argentine and then-England captain Peter Shilton, which was taken before the game in Mexico City.
On Facebook, Maradona wrote: "I had an emotional reunion with Ali Bennaceur, I gave him a shirt of the Argentina national team, and he gave me the picture of that game that he has in his house."
Argentina went on to win the trophy by beating West Germany in the final.
