Aston Villa duo Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann have reportedly topped the club's shirt sales so far this summer.

Weimann's number 10 shirt is said to have been quickly snapped up by fans shopping at the club's new online store, as well as the merchandise shops at Villa Park and New Street.

Despite taking the initial lead, Villa's merchandising chief John Greenfield has revealed that Benteke's number 20 shirt has sold as many as his teammate, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Benteke looked set to leave the Midlands outfit this summer after handing in a transfer request, but later performed a U-turn and signed a new deal.
