Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo: Snowboarding is "unique"

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo says that he has been following the Winter Games in Sochi and is amazed by the sport of snowboarding.

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has said that he would have chosen snowboarding as the winter sport to compete in if he were not a basketball player.

The 27-year-old American admits that he has been left stunned by the performances of the snowboarders at the ongoing 2014 Sochi Games.

"Maybe snowboarding," he told Csnne.com, when asked which sport he would have chosen at the Winter Olympics.

"I don't know how fast they're going, that's the scary part," he continued. "You got to be pretty crazy to do that. But I think it's fun. It's something I've never even watched, but this year I've watched a lot of the winter sports and it's very unique.

"What those guys do - I'm sure they may look at us the same way - but what those guys do you can't duplicate or go out there and try on your own. It's something they're professionals at and they're very good at it."

The USA have won 12 medals in Sochi so far.
