The girlfriend of Samir Nasri has lambasted France manager Didier Deschamps for his omission of the Manchester City midfielder from his World Cup squad.
The 26-year-old was not included in the 23-man party for the tournament, named on Tuesday, in Brazil this summer, despite helping City to two trophies this season.
Many have been surprised by Nasri's snub, and his partner Anara Atanes has been a particularly vocal critique of Deschamps's decision, launching a scathing Twitter attack on the Les Bleus boss in which she suggested that her boyfriend would never play for France again.
She tweeted: "Fuck france and fuck deschamps! What a shit manager! Incase u didnt read my tweet properly.... Ill repeat myself..... fuck FRANCE!!!!! And fuck deschamps!
"Lets just get this straight! Im not mad i get my bf for 2 months.... I just think theres a level of respect to be had! He will never play for france again! Watch!"
Nasri, who was joint-top of the chances created standings in the Premier League during the 2013-2014 campaign, has been capped 41 times by France since debuting as a teenager in 2007.
