Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has expressed his belief that he will not be included in the France squad for this summer's World Cup.
The 26-year-old was axed from Didier Deschamps's side in February for their friendly game against the Netherlands.
Despite putting in a series of impressive performances to guide City to the title - including finding the net in their 2-0 win over West Ham United on the final day – Nasri has resigned himself to watching the tournament on the television.
"I think the dye is cast. I respect [Deschamps's] choice. I'll watch the World Cup on TV," Nasri told Canal+.
"If starting games in a club like Manchester City and winning two titles isn't enough, too bad, I won't regret anything."
Nasri has won 41 caps for France, scoring five goals.
