Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is reportedly suing a woman for £300,000 following a road collision in 2009.

The 39-year-old, who left Spurs for Los Angeles Galaxy two months ago, was left with a broken wrist and pelvis when his motorbike hit Jennifer Bernard's car.

Cudicini has opened a lawsuit against the 28-year-old in a bid to claim £300,000 in damages by stating that the crash from four years ago lost him £8.8m, according to The Sun.

Reports have claimed that the £8.8m figure is an accumulation of chauffeur bills from when he was ruled out injured, family travel costs and medical bills.

Bernard was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing by police following an investigation.
