Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has tried to reinvent his image by dyeing his hair blond.

The Italy international, who has previously been singled out for his outlandish looks, has decided to call time on his black mini mohawk and dye his head bright blond.

The 22-year-old's teammate Javi Garcia tweeted a photo of himself with the striker, saying: "With my big friend Balotelli and his new look!"

The controversial frontman could debut his new hairdo in City's Premier League clash against Arsenal if selected to play on Sunday.
