Arsenal players attack police in Copa Libertadores clash

Argentine club Arsenal have come under scrutiny after a host of their players attacked Brazilian police at the end of a Copa Libertadores match.

Violent scenes broke out when police entered the pitch at the final whistle to protect the match officials following angry confrontations from the players.

It is understood that at least four Arsenal players will be charged for launching punches and kicking officers, some of whom were carrying shotguns with rubber bullets, according to the Daily Mail.

The brawl began at the end of Arsenal's 5-2 defeat to Atletico Mineiro.
