Beckham donates Man Utd shirt

Recently-retired footballer David Beckham donated a Manchester United shirt while on a recent trip to China as soccer ambassador.

The 38-year-old handed over an array of gifts, including a shirt from his former club, in a bid to help raise money for a host of children charities in the country.

"Children have very special place in my heart," The Express quotes Beckham as saying. "Obviously a big part in my life, I have four children myself and have also been involved in different children's charities around the world.

"I know that I have many fans in China and I think one of the biggest things for me to be able to give is the shirts of the teams I played for and obviously each one of them has a very special place in my heart."

Beckham retired from the game following stints at United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
