The Belgian town of Tubize have paid tribute to Eden Hazard by unveiling a statue dedicated to the Chelsea playmaker.
The town have opted to honour the 23-year-old, who will represent Belgium at the World Cup in Brazil from next week, after he spent part of his youth career at the local club.
However, instead of creating a new statue, a huge figure of Michel Platini was renovated to feature Hazard's Belgium kit.
According to 101greatgoals.com, Hazard's mother, who was at the unveiling, is quoted as saying: "Eden was very flattered to hear about this. From 2000 onwards, we would bring him here to Tubize to train four times per week, so it's a lovely homage."
The original statue was created in 1986.
