The landscape of Britain was altered on Friday when the public voted for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.
Prime minister David Cameron announced his resignation after it was revealed that 51.9% of voters called for Brexit, compared to 48.1% opting to stay in the European Union.
As well as the general public, Britain's sports stars have been reacting to the landmark news on social media.
