Colin Hendry admits harassment charge

Former Scotland and Blackburn Rovers captain Colin Hendry admits a charge of harassment after sending unwanted texts and emails to his ex-girlfriend.

Former Scotland international Colin Hendry has pleaded guilty to harassing his ex-girlfriend earlier this year.

Beautician Sarah Kinder accused the 49-year-old of sending text messages and emails, as well as visiting her home and throwing stones at her bedroom window in March and April.

However, a charge of assault was dropped after Kinder withdrew a statement claiming that the former Blackburn Rovers captain grabbed her arm.

Blackpool magistrates adjourned sentencing on the case to August 20, warning that the court's options ranged from a custodial sentence to a community order.
