Former England international Gary Lineker will reportedly sign a fresh contract to remain as the host of BBC football highlights and analysis show Match of the Day.
The ex-Tottenham Hotspur striker comes to the end of his contract with the British broadcasters in the summer but it is thought that producers are keen to keep him.
Lineker is close to signing an extension with one eye on the BBC's 2014 World Cup coverage, but the retired footballer will have to take a paycut, according to the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, Match of the Day 2 presenter Colin Murray will reportedly be axed from next season's coverage.
