British number one tennis star Andy Murray decided to hire a private jet with fellow player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ahead of the Rome Masters.
The Scotsman has attempted to play down travelling from Madrid to Italy by plane by claiming that his competitors use the mode of transport all the time.
"Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic have been doing it for years," the Daily Mail quotes Murray as saying.
"There are times on tour when it's important to get somewhere as quick as possible to give yourself the time to recover. It's a luxury but in certain tournaments and certain situations it can help."
The 25-year-old heads into the competition following his Madrid Masters defeat at the quarter-final stage to Tomas Berdych.
